Hi, I’m Jacob, a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
I have over 6 years of combined experience working with diverse populations including homeless and low-income families and individuals, older adults with terminal illnesses, cancer patients and their caregivers, LGBTQIA+ teens and adults, amongst many others. I have experience working with individuals and families that are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors, grief, loss, struggles with identity, career, and anger.
I like to approach therapy by providing a safe, and free space for you to share your experiences. With that, I am committed to providing therapy that is trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, and affirmative. I believe that every client is unique and requires an approach that is customized for them. That being said, I do have training in trauma-informed, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and insight-oriented approaches.
Outside of sessions, I love traveling and exploring new places with my wife and child. I also love drinking coffee, reading books, and being outside.
I'm looking forward to meeting with you!
