My name is Gabriela and I am a licensed social worker in Maryland, Virginia, and DC. I am a native of Montgomery County and have lived in the community I serve, working alongside diverse populations to increase access to and decrease the stigma of mental health. I believe that clients are the experts of their lives and my role is to help them navigate the obstacles in their life in a safe, non-judgemental space.
I like to work from a person-centered perspective and tailor therapy to meet the needs of clients and help them process what is going on in their world. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, intimate partner violence/domestic violence, anxiety, and depression. I have worked with children, teens, and adults and have experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients. I am also bi-lingual in Spanish and can provide therapy to clients in Spanish.
When I am not in sessions, I enjoy binge-watching The Office with my partner and our fur child.
Gabby accepts Carefirst/BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, and United Healthcare insurance. Gabby holds independent clinical licensure in Maryland and D.C.
